In STEP 4, proceed to Settings -> More -> About phone -> tap “Build number” 7 times to unlock Developer options. Confirm that “USB debugging” is enabled and “Verify apps via USB” is disabled in the Developer options.
Next, launch the Android Terminal Emulator App on your device and execute the following commands, pressing the return key after each line.
Upon executing the second command, you should observe the change of the ‘$’ symbol to a ‘#’ symbol, indicating successful root access.
I am the owner of a Samsung SCH-I545, also referred to as
, and I am unable to perform updates using Kies. An error message is displayed stating:
I received a phone from my uncle in America, while I am based in Romania. Unfortunately, the phone is not rooted. I attempted to update it using Odin, but the update was unsuccessful.
Could you please provide me with instructions on how to update my Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3? I greatly appreciate your assistance!
The release of the Verizon S4 USA update is scheduled for tomorrow, not today.
This release is not the 4.3 update; it is simply a bug fix and includes a few additional features that were added to GSM devices. The 4.3 update is scheduled to be released tomorrow for Verizon customers, or so they say. However, I wouldn’t expect it to be released on time as Verizon tends to delay releases until they are satisfied with them. I will only believe it when I receive the notification. Hopefully, this information is helpful.
