Despite having installed it, unable to utilize docker-compose

After developing a REST API and a gRPC service in GOlang, my intention was to combine them using Docker Compose. However, upon moving the Docker Compose file to the go-rest folder, the REST application runs successfully, but the item service encounters failure.

Question:

Using the Dockefile, I added both
docker-machine
and
docker-compose
to my container.

RUN curl -L https://github.com/docker/machine/releases/download/v0.9.0/docker-machine-`uname -s`-`uname -m` >/usr/local/bin/docker-machine &&
chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-machine
RUN curl -L https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.13.0/docker-compose-`uname -s`-`uname -m` > /usr/local/bin/docker-compose &&
chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose

However, my capability is limited to docker-machine only. Whenever I attempt to utilize docker-compose, it displays the following message:

bash-4.3# ls /usr/local/bin/
docker-compose docker-machine
bash-4.3# stat /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
File: /usr/local/bin/docker-compose

bash-4.3# docker-compose
bash: /usr/local/bin/docker-compose: No such file or directory

Do you have any suggestions?
[EDIT] The docker-machine that functions flawlessly possesses equal privileges.

bash-4.3# stat  /usr/local/bin/docker-machine
